Hello Family! It was a very blessed week! The Lord is beginning to open up the heavens after our trial of faith (and patience) It was kind of interesting, at the beginning of the transfer, we had a pretty good teaching pool, but after that, it seemed like everything was falling. It was very good though! I got to learn how to do a million contacts a day and really learned a lot! As me and my companion started practicing this in the house and doing a lot on the street, we began to get a really good feel for what the person is thinking and feeling. To say the truth, it wasn´t that much of a trial because me and Elder Cardoso really grew from it! We are really starting to flow together in all that we do! Its a feeling that you can only pray and work for and hope it one day comes.
An experience that I like to share was the one yesterday at lunch in the house of Jake, Emily and Jackson. First off, they are thee sweeeeetest people on earth! Always willing to help in any shape and form that they can. It was a lot of fun being able to go over there.
So everyday for lunch, we switch off on who will give the lesson. We realized saturday morning that it would be Elder Cardoso turn when we went over to Jake and Emily and Jacksons house. He was very nervous, and didn´t even know what scripture to share. I told him it didn´t have to be complicated, but that his testimony is what was most important. Now, you must realize that he only has 9 weeks in the field and is not surrounded in English. For that, he speaks very very well! We also have the same problem on reading. We read slow in each others language, but I told him right before we left for thier house that the Lord has the same goals to help you learn this language, especially if you are preaching His Gospel in it. So we went there and ate and chatted and then the time of the lesson came... He said that he wanted to read 1 Nep 3:7. As he began to read, I noticed that he was reading faster then normal and he was pronouncing the words very well. He began to bare his testimony and in the middle of it just stopped... He paused and said ``Oh my goodness.`` I then realized that what he had just done, he had never come close to ever doing that... It was amazing... He then looked to me and asked me to help or, to bare my testimony.
I know from this moment that not just because I have experienced it myself, but have seen the hand of the Lord touch one of His Children in this same way that the Lord knows and understands our needs and desires. He was an experience I will never forget.

Wow has it been hot here or what!?! It finally rainned this past
weekend for the first time in over a week! Ha! Had some great memories
when it did rain though! We forgot our phone last night so when the
District Leader called last night at 8, we had to book it home! It was
about a 10 minute run in the Brasilian rain, if you can imagine, it was
epic!
We had one of the greatest blessing and miracle happen this past week. To keep the story brief, the past Bishop in the Indaiatuba Ward fell away from the church because of problems that he had. This took place a year and a half roughly ago. No one really told us who he was (he lives in the outscirts of our area), until we did a division with the Elder´s Quorum President. He took us to his house and it seemed to us that he was as firm as you could be in the church. After we delievered the message, he told us that it was just to hard for him to go back to church and that he didn´t want anything to do with it, but that we were more then welcome at anytime in his house. It was one of the hardest nights for Elder Cardoso and I. We prayed and prayed that a miracle would come. Something that we could do or say for the next time that we went over there. Working with the ward Elder´s Quorum President and a lot of prayers, he was at church! His whole family was there too. But that is only half the miracle. President Mazzagardi came to our sacrament meeting. He said that the Spirit told him to come to Indaiatuba. It was exactly what the old bishop needed.
We have been trying to find a lot of news because the work has slown down a little bit. But I know that we need to show our faith first to feel the blessings that He gives. I have a very special feeling about this week and have a better vision on how we can improve our calling. Sometimes its hard to magnify your calling. I believe it is because we forget that The Master is the one with the magnifying glass and we forget to ask him to show us the way. I know that this has been the case for me.
The work is great, the church is true! I love you family! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!

Hello Family! It was a pretty great week here in thee old neck of the woods of Indaiatuba!
We have been teaching this family (been a little hard though, because the dad travels a lot) since my third week here with Elder Santos. There´s the dad, mom, and two girls who are like 17 and 15. We actually invited them to be baptized once before, but the dad said no. It was kind of sad at that moment because we said, ´´If you read this book and pray that it is true and you receive an answer, will you follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized?´´ (It was more then that, but that´s just the rough version. He said no, but I think it has/had a lot to do with his family being a tradional Catholic. But they continue to come to church and love doing more! They are friends to the bishop´s family. We are going to have a family home evening with them and I know with time, all will be well! Actually, we heard from one of the members that one of the girls was crying in Young Womens because she felt the Spirit so strong... They are a really great family! Very smart as well! Know their stuff!
Our most improving investigators has been in São Paulo for the past week and we aren´t sure exactly what day she is coming back this week. There´s been some kind of holiday going on here. Ha! There always seems like there is a holiday here. Anyway, it will be good when she gets back.
We´ve found some new´s this past week that are families! Just talked with the mom´s though, but I´m excited for the blessing we have to talk and teach them! I want to baptize a family suuuuuper bad.... BUT! It´s the Lord´s will and their agency, not mine :)
I love you alll SOOOOO much and am grateful for the testimonies of each and everyone of you! Your prayers and sacrifices mean everything to me. Have a good week!

Soooo.... I don´t think I could compare this past week to any of the
others or any of the weeks to come... Long story short, I am still here
in Indaiatuba and am trainning.
Now, for the spark notes version.
Monday night: I got the call that I was going to São Roque to be a District Leader with a Brasilian companion named Elder R. Lima who has just under 5 months on the mission. I packed my bags because I had to leave for Itú in the morning. I said goodbye to only a couple of people that night because of the time that I had. (normally, you have monday night and tuesday afternoon to pack and say goodbye. I had just monday night.)
Tuesday: I leave for Itú and from Itú leave for Sorocaba which is about an hour and a half away because we are having a meeting with Elder Jay. E. Jensen of the 70. I also would be spending the night in Sorocaba and leaving in the morning from there to the mission home for transfers. So... After the meeting, President came up to me and said that a few things had happened and asked me if me and my companion (at the time, Elder Souza) could switch and I would stay in Indaiatuba and Elder Souza would go to São Roque. I said of course, but then we realized that I had my stuff and E. Souza didn´t. So we said that we would continue with the transfer and do an emergency transfer on thursday.
Wednesday: We decided that we would leave my lungage all at the Zone leader´s house (very important part) in Sorocaba and just take what I needed to live for the next day. So I did. I then went to transfers then went to São Roque for the day.
Thursday: President said that we didn´t have time to get my lugage because he had a meeting, but that I would get it some how. So I go to Indaiatuba and there, find out that I am going to be companions with an Elder who had only had half of his tranning down (It´s a 12 week program so he´s only been in the field for 6 weeks) Also that night, the assisstance call me and say that I will be getting my lugage the FOLLOWING wednesday!
Friday: Was as normal of a day as it could, but my zone leader also called the zone leader and said that I couldn´t live without my stuff. Ha, I never said that though to him. But the case would have been was that I would have worn the same shirt pants and socks for 8 days straight! So they worked it out that I would go all the way to Sorocaba (2 and a half hours one way) and get my stuff.
Saturday: I went and got my stuff... Lets just say I almost burnt my clothes that I was wearing.
So to wrap things up, my new companion is Elder Cardoso. He has been on the mission for a little more then 2 month. Usually after you are trainned, your next companion is your Step-Father, but I still needed to train him. Also, he was actually born in my district here, so I ´´watched´´ him be born. So we came to the conclusion that he is my godson and I am his godfather. Yupp, is just joy with him! I absolutly love him and he LOVES to work!!!
Crazy week! But it was all good! I´m very VERY excited for what´s ahead and working with my godson, Elder Cardoso this transfer. Sorry I don´t have much to say about the actual work this week... I LOVE YOU FAMILY!!!!

This past week has been full of emotions for me... Heavenly Father has truly opened His love to us this.
So the lesson last Monday night with Silvana and Rosana... Was amazing. We conversed with her about trials in our lives and why Heavenly Father sent His Son. Then we talked about the Holy Ghost and why we are baptized. In the middle of the lesson, in Silvana´s own words, "I need to be baptized... I want to be baptized." And because of Bianca´s baptism which was that same week, we invited her to be baptized the same day. She accepted. We then realized that she needed to know the commandments so we taught her and everything, she understood and was receptive until we got to cafe and the WoW. I then asked Rosana to bare her testimony. (Rosana did the same thing when we taught her about the WoW and cafe, but from that same day she hasn´t taken/drank it.) Right when she was done, everything made sence to Silvana. We then invited Rosana to be baptized the same day, but she said that she needed more time. We invited her to be baptized the 4th of february and she accepted. We actually had her do an interview the same night as Silvana and she really just needs more time. I have no doubt that she will be baptized.
I don´t have too much time, but Bianca and Silvana were baptized. Rosana will be baptized the 4th and we received a reference tuesday (BLESSING OF THE MISSION) and marked another 2 for the 11th. It honestly will be really hard to leave Indaiatuba, but come what may and love it. I don´t know the meaning of a lot of things, but if the Lord needs and errand run, Elder Bowman will do HIS best.
I LOVE YOU FAMILY!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS, FASTS AND ALL THAT YOU DO!!!
