I am the biggest slacker in the world! I know that this is late, but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE FREEBS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER!!! I will repent :)
I had my 3 month interview with the President this past friday. As always, besides my first interview when I arrived in Brasil, it was less then 5 minutes. I absolutely love President Martins. He is the most simpliest/smartest person around that you could find. Before we had our interviews, he talked to us about the importance of planning. He read some scripture in Abraham 4 and explained that the earth was planned before it was created and then said that ``Planning is the creation of something that still doesn´t exsist.`` Something that seems so basic and fundamental, but yet so refreshing and mindblowing. But I guess that´s the gospel for ya.
The update about Vagnar is that he passed his interview, but was having a little bit of trouble with one of the commandments. Even though he passed, he wasn´t baptized and has been very hard to find. He has some friend in the church that have been talking to him through facebook and text message trying to encourgae him. He didn´t tell the members the exact problem, but the members have been very helpful with us. I know that everyone has there angency and that for a missionary, that can be the hardest thing to learn, but we have our own angency and will continue to do all that we can. I just haven´t seen too many people quite like him, he knows that it is true. I know that one day or another, he´ll come around.
As I´m sure that each one of you all are very excited for General Conference this weekend, I myself am as well. My companion is hoping that they announce a temple in Belem. Ha, the people are kind of envious that Manaus has one now. He told me that they have to go 2 days to get to the nearest temple (Receife) so that would be quite the blessing! I'm praying to hear some of the answers to my prayers, but also, our investigators have the chance to hear the prophet of the Lord. Should be very exciting!
I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Thank you so much for the prayers and your sacrifices! I hope you all have a great week!

This past week we had a meeting with the whole Interior. I got to see Sister Hayes for the first time and she was doing great! We were all worried about her Portuguese, but she is speaking like a champ. Also! I saw Elder Jacob Wetzel!!! What on earth! I had know idea that he was coming here! He just got to the field two weeks ago and got his call July 27! Very cool! I also have my quarterly interview with the President this week on friday that I am looking forward to.
The work is great! We just marked another baptisam with a man who is dating a member. Me and Elder Santos tried to teach him, but he was always busy. Anywho, the girlfriend approached me a week ago at church and said that we need to baptize him before the 20th of April because that´s when they are going to get married and they want to go to the temple in a year. I said right-e-o! I told my companion his whole story, except that the girlfriend specifically told me to baptize him (DON`T WORRY, HE HAS A TESTIMONY OF THE CHURCH, NOT THE GIRLFRIEND) I did this so that my companion would be the one to invite him to be baptized. He has been scared and forgotten the last 3 times with different people, so I really wanted him to have this experience. Towards the end of the lesson, my companion started closing up. My prayers increased. He then closed and I thought to myself that we still hadn´t left the room. As he asked if there was anything else, I just gave him a smile. He then remembered and with all the love that he had, invited him to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized. My companion has a lot of love and faith for this work. I have been so grateful that I could be the to testify of our Savior right next to him. He has strengthened my testimony of when we do the hard thing that we don´t feel qualified to do, the Lord will bless us because of what we are called to do.
I LOVE YOU FAMILY!!! Thank you for your endless prayers and sacrifices.

Hey family! Sorry I don´t have very much time today, but I promise that next week will be ten times better. Long story short, the heavens are openning!
Vagnar, who is preparing to be baptized on the 24th, is an ELECT!!! We taught him the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chasity this past week. He was telling us a story about more or less, one year ago, he felt that drinking and smoking was bad so he decided to stop. He then bore his testimony on the matter that he knows that it was a revelation that Joseph Smith received. He then told us that he didn´t have any problems with the Law of Chasity, but that he had a couple of bad dvds that he would throw out and then begin a new life, just like baptisam! More or less, those were his words! The Lord has been preparing him for this opportunity and I´m grateful we are the ones who can watch and help him grow.
We have a couple of other new investigators who are solid! To say the least, I didn´t think I would be able to see some of the miracles from our labors and faith from the past transfer. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has alowed one more transfer here for me.
I love you sweet family! Thank you for all that you do!

I don´t think that I have been in a hotter place for so long in my entire life... MINHA NOSSA!!!! A person told us that it was the hottest that São Paulo has been since 2008 this past thursday.
Anywho! WE HAVE FOUND ONE OF HEAVENLY FATHER`S GREATEST ELECTS!!! It has been a real answer to our prayers. His name is Vagnar. He is around 25-30 old. He was buying sunglasses from one of our membors stores when the membor felt impressed to invited him out to church. Welp! One out of fifty times, he went! We talked to him more, explained a little bit to him about the restoration and the BOM and asked him if we could converse with him more another day at his house. When we were there, the setting felt very special. Answering a few of his question from what he read (A BLESSING) and then speaking more about how Christ church came to be restored. On a side note real quick, Elder Cardoso was Senior this past week and did absolutely amazing, he took control of everything! I am so happy and impressed for the Elder that he has become and all the things I have been able to learn from him. Anyway, long story short, he excepted to be baptized! (I am running out of time, sorry) And yesterday in church, we were leaning about prophets and he was explaining to everyone in the class his favorite parts about how we have prophets today! We taught him once!!! He also asked me what time his baptizam would be! Where did you come from! That was the question I had :)
The work is great! I love each and everyone of you! Have a great week family!!!

The weeks are going WAY too fast!!! I feel like there is never a pause button. Oh wait... There's not! Ya Gatta Luv it!!!
It was a very good week. We are really starting to get the members alive in the work here in Indaiatuba. Before Elder Santos left, I asked him what is the most important thing to remember on the mission and also, what´s the most effective way The Work will continue to go forth specifically here in Indaiatuba. He told me the members. I´m guessing that´s the case anywhere though, but especially true here.
I was able to go do a division with one of the Zone Leaders in his are this past week. I was gone for two and a half days, so it didn´t feel like I was here at all, but I learned a ton from him! It´s always a blessing to have those kinds of opportunities so that I can pick apart their brains and work to apply their strengthes to your character.
As we all know, today is a special day. I have been thinking about it a lot for the past few weeks. It seems that whenever I find myself lost or don´t know what more I can do, after I say a prayer, I always find myself reading about the pioneers. Ha, I actually remember when Brian came home from his mission and I did something bad (I really don´t remember :) ) He gave me the book ``Our Heritage`` and told me that this would teach me about repentance and that I would never want to sin again. After being on the mission and reading and studing the book a few times, I know now what he meant those 7 years ago. I can´t compreend the blessings that I have in this life. To be in a time with the fullness of the gospel, when temples are all throughout the earth; for no matter what happens, to be endowed with the Holy Priesthood, sealed to my family for all time and eternity. I can´t compreend the great sacrifices that were done for me to obtain these blessings, but I can do a little more then I thought I could to magnigfy my calling to Him. We must always ask ourselfs, especially in time of distress, will we be great parents, or just the children of great parents. I love Minha Avó with all that I am and am grateful for the sacrifices that she made and the example that she is.
I love you family sooooo much!!! Have a wonderful week!!!
